The Manufacturing Analytics (MA) team within Industrial System Analytics (ISA) of the Global Data Insights & Analytics (GDIA) organization, is focused on leveraging data to improve Ford's business decisions and operations across the globe. We act as a trusted advisor providing data, advanced analytics and AI/ML, and insights to support, optimize, and transform the Manufacturing process within Ford. We are seeking a Senior Product Line Manager- Manufacturing AI and Analytics to join out team!
Based in Dearborn, MI, this is a hybrid position with a required four-day onsite presence each week.
What you'll do...
Lead a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and data engineers to build, grow and maintain the Manufacturing Analytics suite of products and services
Lead & facilitate strategic conversations and prioritization within the MA team, as well as with senior leaders of each domain
Create a roadmap aligned to Manufacturing Strategic Action Plans (SAP) and be accountable for delivery of technology solutions.Measure the effectiveness and adjust the delivery plan based on learning, user, and stakeholder feedback.
Manage financials - monthly forecasts and headcount across investments and operations
Share best practices, identify synergies & risks, duplicative efforts, team collaboration, connecting the dots across domains, etc.
Be the catalyst for technology, software craftsmanship, DevOps, and Agile practices to enable professionalism and culture across your teams
Support strategic reviews with GDIA senior leaders, governance reviews with business partners, and internal product reviews
Develop the PDO and technical skills of your teams with a focus on continuous improvement

6+ years of experience building and managing high performing teams that include:
Ability to quickly learn and understand complex environments and team dynamics
Deep troubleshooting skills and capabilities to lead a triage team across a complex ecosystem
Proven ability to build relationships with IT teams, business partners and external suppliers to drive technology transformation
Excellent communication, storytelling, and relationship-building skills
Strong strategic thinking and coordination skills, anticipating the needs of the team
Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, ability to solve problems and actively incorporate input from various sources
Passion to keep the teams motivated to drive for outcomes, encourage a sense of urgency, and build attention to detail

3+ years of experience leading data scientists, engineers, product managers or similar within a Manufacturing environment.
