Accounting Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager with a focus on Accounts Payable to join our team in High Ridge, Missouri. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented and can lead and manage a team while maintaining efficient accounting operations. As a long-term contract role, you will play a crucial part in overseeing invoicing processes and supporting financial reporting efforts.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the processing of high-volume invoicing across multiple locations, managing approximately 20,000 invoices per month.

Supervise and provide leadership to a team of 8-10 accounting staff, ensuring smooth operations and team development.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of financial tasks, including month-end close activities and general ledger updates.

Review and reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy in financial records and reporting.

Prepare and analyze journal entries to support accurate financial statement audits.

Utilize advanced Excel skills to create reports, analyze data, and support decision-making processes.

Maintain composure and efficiency when managing tasks under tight deadlines.

Collaborate with internal teams to streamline workflows and improve accounting processes. Requirements - Minimum of three years of experience in accounting, with a focus on accounts payable management.

Proven ability to manage high-volume invoicing and multi-site accounting operations.

Strong leadership skills with experience supervising a team of professionals.

Expertise in month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and account reconciliation.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Familiarity with preparing journal entries and supporting financial audits.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in handling complex accounting tasks.

Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines.
