PERIOPERATIVE REGISTERED NURSE - FULL TIME POSITION

Overview: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and mercy service standards. Registered Nurse or Graduate Nurse Resident Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO Department: Operating Room Status: Part-Time - 24 hours/week Shift: 8 Hour Days (Mon-Fri) Additional Call Hours Experienced RN Incentives: Up to $10,000 Sign-On Bonus No Contract Required! New RN Incentives: Up to $7,500 Sign-On Bonus No Contract Required RN Loan Forgiveness Program to aide in paying off your RN student loan debt. Must start with Mercy within 12-months of graduation. Overview: Mercy Hospital Southeast OR includes general surgery, 2 DaVinci Xis, urology, plastics, gyn, orthopedic, neurosurgery and cardiothoracic surgery. Periop 101 through AORN is offered for new registered nurses. Our staff provides a comforting environment for patients that are undergoing a surgical procedure. We work alongside preop staff, anesthesia providers, surgeons and recovery staff to safely provide care to patients needing an operation. As nurses, we train on the equipment being used, proper positioning and prepping of the patient, and documentation of the patient record. Qualifications: Experience: 1 year of RN and/or previous OR experience preferred but not required. Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN). Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements. Other unit specific certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required. Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
