Job Summary:

The Safety Administrator will work within the Safety department and will report to the Director of Safety. They will work closely with the safety team and project teams. The Safety Administrator is responsible for supporting the written safety programs, procedures, and requirements of the safety department. The safety department as well as the project teams depend on the support from this role to ensure that safety policies, procedures, and practice are adhered by.

Essential Responsibilities:

Establishing and maintaining department records, files and analytics.

Updating project safety documents, recording meetings, filing, mailing, and distributing safety correspondence.

Coordinate Trainings.

Manage OSHA 300 logs.

Support / facilitate translation services

Qualifications:

Professional Experience and Education

High School Diploma or GED required.

A minimum of three (3) years' administrative support experience required.

Must be an Oregon notary or apply for one upon employment.

Required Skills

Effective verbal, written, and electronic communication skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Teams, and DocuSign.

Strong organizational skills and possess excellent collaboration with team members.

General construction knowledge and ability to understand construction terminology and process preferred.

High standards of ethics and confidentiality to coordinate sensitive information.

Ability to demonstrate assertiveness and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to effectively prioritize workflow and has exceptional organizational and planning skills.

Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, be proactive, and take ownership of issues to ensure tasks are completed to a high standard of quality and accuracy.

Self-starter with the skills to research and complete tasks with limited supervision.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Standing/Walking/Sitting: Workday is combination of sitting/walking and standing

Legs: Must be able to climb stairs - 5% of day

Hands/Arms: Constant use of hands/fingers for mouse/keyboard/computer use

Vision: Visual acuity in near, mid and far range vision. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, hand/eye coordination

Hearing: Sufficient to hear conversational levels in person and over the telephone

Speech: Sufficient to make oneself heard in person, speak in front of groups, and be understood over the telephone and radio

Lift/Carry: Up to 40lb computer/drawings- minimal

Bending/Twisting: Minimal

Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Minimal

Must be able to climb ladders (fixed access and step) -Minimal

Work at an elevated height- Minimal

Constant mental alertness, accuracy, and attention to detail required

Must be able to work independently, make decisions, and follow through on all assignments

Must use creativity, independent judgment, and organizational and problem-solving skills to determine best method to accomplish desired results

Must be able to plan and organize work

Must possess strong organizational and computer use skills and have a high level of competency to read/write/speak English, and communicate with coworkers

Licensed to drive a company vehicle
