Job Title: Medical Office Assistant

Job Description

Join our team as a Medical Office Assistant in a dynamic family medicine office, providing essential support to our healthcare providers and ensuring smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

Schedule patients efficiently to maximize provider availability.

Answer phones and address patient inquiries professionally.

Assist with insurance verifications to ensure patient coverage.

Utilize electronic health records, specifically Epic, for patient management.

Support cardiology processes as needed.

Essential Skills

Experience with electronic health records, particularly Epic.

Strong organizational skills for patient scheduling.

Effective communication skills for phone interactions.

Familiarity with insurance verification processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

No specific license required.

Experience in a medical office or similar healthcare setting is advantageous.

Work Environment

This position operates within a moderately busy family medicine office. The team consists of three full-time providers and two part-time providers, with patient visits scheduled every 15 to 30 minutes. The office fosters a friendly and team-oriented atmosphere. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 7am to 5pm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rye Brook, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
