This job is all about safe, on-time drop-offs, loading and unloading cylinders, and keeping the route running smoothly. You'll need a CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, or be willing to get them, and you should be comfortable with the physical work that comes with moving cylinders. If you take pride in doing the job right and treating customers well, this is a solid fit.Why You'll Love Working HereAt Ferrellgas, we're committed to supporting our team with benefits that promote health, financial security, and personal growth:- Income Protection: Company-provided short-term and long-term disability, life insurance, and AD&D- Financial Wellness: 401(k) with company match, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), Flexible Spending Account (FSA), and Health Savings Account (HSA)- Time Off & Family Support: Paid Time Off (PTO), parental leave, and tuition reimbursement- Wellness & Assistance Programs: Wellness program, Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and Medicare support- Employee Perks: Referral program, employee discount programs, and propane savings- Local Routes: Our drivers are the face of our company, providing great service while working local routes-so you'll be home every night.Responsibilities- Loads, secures, transports, delivers, and unloads propane to and from specified destinations.- Inspects vehicle and notifies supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.- Fills cylinders as required.- Prepares and maintains records in accordance with regulations and company procedures.- Operates truck in accordance to established safety procedures.- Engages in daily interaction with customers and provides exceptional customer service by supplying service information and answering inquires.- Performs responsibilities in on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergency deliveries or response.- Ensures customer site is compliant with safety regulations and company policies.- Ensures all DOT requirements are met at all times.- Assists with sales initiatives.- Performs other duties as assigned, including but not limited to plant/yard maintenance or dock work.Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent- At least two years of work-related experience- Class B CDL license with hazmat and tanker endorsements preferred.- Ability to pass DOT physical and Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check.- Must have clean driving record as evidenced by current Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).- Demonstrated drive, determination, professionalism, and the desire to be a significant factor in growing our business.- Ability to quickly learn, operate, and maintain hand held computer.- Proficient in speaking, writing, and understanding the English language.- Genuine commitment to providing superior Customer Service.- Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States- Applicants must not now, or any time in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.Why Ferrellgas?At Ferrellgas we're honored to be part of tight-knit communities across America and thousands of customers' lives.
