We are seeking an experienced Field Installation Supervisor to lead the installation of conveyor systems and related equipment. This role is responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, supervising field teams, ensuring safety compliance, and serving as the primary on-site representative throughout project execution. Position does require travel. Company is based in MD, but position can be worked from ANY state.
Key Responsibilities
Perform and oversee complex conveyor and associated equipment installation tasks
Independently supervise the installation of large conveyance systems
Manage day-to-day on-site construction and installation activities
Lead mechanical assembly of conveyor systems and related equipment
Direct and coordinate office support staff, field technicians, and mechanical subcontractors to meet project deadlines
Communicate schedules, progress reports, and status updates to customers and internal leadership
Prepare, kit, and verify equipment for shipment to job sites to ensure completeness and timeliness
Review mechanical installation packages prior to field execution
Assist with system commissioning and troubleshooting of field installations
Lead daily safety meetings and ensure proper documentation for compliance
Track parts inventory at customer sites
Support on-site training presentations as needed
Maintain and organize company-provided tools and equipment
Collaborate closely with project managers and act as the on-site company representative
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising field installation of conveyors, sortation systems, or related equipment
Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role
Must have prior experience traveling for work in a field-based or installation role
Ability and willingness to travel 2-3 weeks per month
Strong ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize team workloads
Proven ability to train, coach, and develop field crews
Excellent organizational and delegation skills
Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, forklifts, vertical lifts, and related equipment
Ability to fabricate parts as required
Strong mechanical aptitude
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to build professional relationships with engineers, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors
Self-directed team player with sound judgment and decision-making skills
Working knowledge of installation, supervision, and field operations practices
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as required
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and climb ladders
Commitment to working safely and efficiently
Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Prior conveyor system installation experience
Welding capability
Knowledge of various @types of structural steel
Previous training or instructional experience
OSHA 10 certification

This position may qualify for annual and quarterly performance-based bonuses , in addition to base compensation and other incentive programs, in accordance with company policy and plan terms.

Pay Details: $38.00 to $45.00 per hour
