About the Opportunity This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. [FEU] FirstEnergy takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. In addition, your actual base salary will depend on various factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience. The estimated pay range for this role is $50,150- $94,200. The pay range for certain locations, including the state of New Jersey, include a 20% differential to account for an increased cost of living, making the pay range $60,180 - $113,040. This position reports to the Supervisor, Project Processing Controls and the reporting location for this role can be at any FE hub- Akron, Fairmont, Greensburg, Reading, Holmdel. This position is responsible for the development & creation of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and supporting Transmission and Distribution capital and O&M projects. This position will work closely with the FET Forecasting group in support of project forecasting, budgeting, and journals. The position will participate in Forecasting's Financial Review and Accrual meetings. The position will also work closely with Transmission's Project Managers to ensure the timely and accurate processing of service entry sheets and support the development of the monthly accruals. The position will also work with Supply Chain to ensure that contract terms with the A/E firms, construction contractors, and material vendors are followed. Interacts with vendors to ensure accurate and timely invoicing and obtain available discounts on eligible purchase orders as well as resolve issues that may arise. Responsibilities include:

Demonstrating a commitment to FirstEnergy Core Values and Behaviors, including Safety.

Providing analytical support to Project Managers and Financial groups using Coupa, Microsoft Excel and QlikView/Power BI.

Supporting management by completing ad-hoc requests.

Supporting the supply chain cycle by creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders from outline agreements.

Receiving and processing invoices in a timely manner to receive vendor discounts. Ensuring the accuracy of the accounting, timesheets, and rates.

Providing support for the budget by monitoring and analyzing invoice payments.

Providing support to leadership, peers, and vendors.

Preparing and maintaining reports and summaries.

Supporting storm activities as needed.

Assisting and participating in FET Forecasting and meetings.

Independently anticipating and working to meet customer needs.

Supporting team members and other departments when called upon.

Communicating effectively both verbally and written.

Building relationships and credibility across the organization.

Qualifications include:

Associate degree in a related field is preferred.

Relevant experience includes creating purchase requisitions and purchase orders, data reporting, analysis, and recommendations, and general understanding of accounting principles such as accruals, budgets, etc.

Basic teamwork and interpersonal skills.
