Twenty-one (21) agricultural equipment operators are needed to work in St. Joseph, Cass, and Van Buren Counties, Michigan, producing potatoes. Workers will operate GPS-equipped farm machinery to plant, cultivate, irrigate, and harvest potatoes, including tractors, planters, harvesters, windrowers, tillage equipment, irrigation systems, and related mechanized equipment. Duties include preparing land for planting, removing debris, leveling fields, adjusting and maintaining equipment, and performing routine maintenance. Workers must follow all safety and operating standards and work efficiently in a fast-paced agricultural environment. The job requires a minimum of 2 months of verifiable prior experience operating and maintaining GPS-equipped potato farming equipment, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. (team lifting required for heavier loads), and willingness to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts, including Saturdays. Applicants must have a clean driving record and possess or be able to obtain an insurable driver's license to operate company vehicles and transport crops, equipment, or workers between farm locations. Employer-paid post-hire drug testing is required upon reasonable suspicion or after a work-related accident.

Earned Sick Time Requirement: In accordance with applicable Michigan state law, Earned Sick Time Act 338, employers are required to provide earned sick time to employees. The amount of paid sick leave provided may vary depending on the size of the business.
