Job Title: Electrical Assembly Technician

Job Description

Join our team as an Assembly Technician, where you will play a vital role in performing automated lay-up machine set-up and operation. You will be responsible for composite lay-up fabrication and assembly tasks using materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other lightweight components. Your expertise will be critical in utilizing fabrication tooling materials and operating automated/motorized equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform automated lay-up machine set-up and operation.

Execute composite lay-up fabrication and assembly tasks with carbon fiber, fiberglass, and other lightweight materials.

Utilize fabrication tooling materials and automated/motorized equipment.

Use blueprints or engineering drawings to guide assembly tasks.

Select the correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, standards, and hardware to complete work statements.

Report job constraints such as errors caused by workmanship defects, parts, materials, assembly procedures, tools, and sequences.

Prepare test articles, fixtures, and data collection devices to perform various tests.

Apply routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

Essential Skills

Minimum of 3 years of electrical installation/assembly experience.

Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints.

Proficiency in electrical assembly and wiring.

Skillful use of hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques.

Experience with fabrication processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of New Orleans, LA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $32.00/hr.
