About the Role The Staff Product Manager, Customer Perception is a senior individual contributor role responsible for shaping the strategy, platform capabilities, and long-term evolution of Walmart Data Ventures' market research products. This role requires a strong blend of product strategy, market research expertise, data fluency, and technical depth , with the ability to influence across teams and lead through ambiguity. You will work closely with Design, Engineering, Data Science, Research, and Business partners to build scalable, secure, and customer-centric solutions that enable suppliers and internal teams to make confident, data-driven decisions. This role reports to the Senior Manager, Product Management .
What You'll Do Product Strategy & Vision
Own and evolve the product vision and multi-year strategy for Customer Perception capabilities, including role-based access controls, billing & invoicing, and enterprise research workflows
Translate customer, business, and platform needs into clear product narratives, investment priorities, and outcome-driven roadmaps
Balance near-term delivery with long-term platform scalability and extensibility
Roadmap & Product Execution
Define and manage roadmaps, epics, and success metrics aligned to business outcomes
Lead backlog prioritization using customer impact, risk, and ROI signals
Partner deeply with Engineering to understand system architecture, APIs, data models, and cloud technologies , ensuring feasibility and quality at scale
Drive adoption of new technologies where they unlock meaningful customer or operational value
Customer & Market Insight
Apply deep knowledge of market research methodologies to inform product decisions and feature design
Leverage customer feedback, usage data, and qualitative insights to identify unmet needs and opportunities
Conduct competitive and industry analysis to benchmark capabilities and identify differentiation opportunities
Data & Technical Leadership
Interpret complex datasets and analytics to surface insights that inform product strategy
Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to translate business needs into technical requirements
Champion data quality, governance, and best practices across the product surface
User Experience & Design
Partner with Design to deliver intuitive, user-centered experiences across multi-level studies, permissions, and workflows
Advocate for consistent UX patterns that scale across multiple products and customer segments
Stakeholder Influence
Act as a trusted product advisor to cross-functional stakeholders (Design, Tech, Sales, Marketing, Research, Customer Success)
Communicate complex product and platform concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
Influence without authority across teams, time zones, and functions
You'll Be Successful If You...
Have a strong command of the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and Agile methodologies
Bring 6+ years of product management experience , including experience delivering enterprise-scale platforms
Have launched and scaled B2B and/or B2C web and mobile products
Can translate technical complexity into clear business value and customer outcomes
Have retail, data, or analytics domain experience (2+ years preferred)
Are comfortable working with global, cross-functional teams
Lead with a customer-first, outcome-oriented mindset
Understand data management, analytics, and statistical concepts (e.g., TURF, Conjoint)
Have strong product craft skills: user stories, journey mapping, wireframes, and workflow diagrams
Bring hands-on experience with analytics tools (e.g., SQL, Tableau, Power BI)
Communicate effectively at all levels and influence decision-making through clarity and insight
Enjoy partnering deeply with engineers, designers, and data analysts within a SCRUM team

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
6+ years of experience in Product Management
Demonstrated success managing consumer-facing B2B and B2C digital experiences (web or mobile)
Proficient in product analytics and metrics-driven decision making
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09401: The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00 - $220,000.00
Sunnyvale, California US-11807: The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
