Description
Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our client out in McCarran, Nevada. This position offers a long-term contract opportunity and requires someone who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment. The role involves managing invoice processing and other accounts payable tasks while adapting to new systems and workflows.
Responsibilities:
Process and accurately code invoices to ensure timely payments.
Input and maintain bills in the accounts payable system to support financial operations.
Handle up to 50 invoices weekly, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up.
Collaborate with team members and provide support around the office as needed.
Manage payments primarily through ACH and ensure compliance with company procedures.
Adapt to constructive feedback and maintain professionalism in a critical work environment.
Provide assistance during periods of high workload or staff absence.
Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting for all accounts payable activities.
Support the Controller and Assistant Controller in daily financial operations.
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
Strong knowledge of invoice coding and processing procedures.
Familiarity with ACH payment methods.
Ability to handle constructive criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Comfortable working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
