Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the COMPTROLLER DEPARTMENT (N8), DISBURSING, TRAVEL & PAYROLL (N84), COMPLIANCE & TRAVEL (N842), LIQUIDATION/GTCC (N8421) of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND. Responsibilities You will utilize the Defense Travel System for organizing travel. You will utilize the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) for Travel Order Writing and Travel Order Liquidation. You will process travel authorizations and travel vouchers. You will utilize Human Resource Management Systems to verify information. You will use Financial Management Systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications FOR THE GS-06 LEVEL Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE. Experience utilizing the Defense Travel System the Joint Travel Regulations (JTR) with experience in both Travel Order Writing and Travel Order Liquidation. Experience with extracting data from Human Resource Management Systems (HRMS) to verify travel entitlements. Experience articulating assignment itineraries and training assignment itineraries to the workforce Experience identifying travel restrictions, required travel training, area clearances, and overseas travel arrangements FOR THE GS-05 LEVEL Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of SPECIALIZED experience at or equivalent to the GS-04 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
