Description

We are seeking a committed part-time Administrative Assistant/Event Coordinator to join a team in Middletown, Delaware. In this position, you will support a range of administrative duties and assist with event coordination, including occasional travel for book signings and meet-and-greet events. This long-term contract role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact while enjoying a part-time schedule and a flexible work environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support by managing schedules, organizing documents, and maintaining efficient office workflows.

Coordinate logistics for events, including book signings and meet-and-greet sessions, ensuring seamless execution.

Respond to inbound calls and emails, addressing inquiries promptly and professionally.

Perform accurate data entry tasks to update and maintain records.

Assist with receptionist duties, such as greeting guests and managing correspondence.

Utilize social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook to promote events and company initiatives.

Prepare reports and presentations using Microsoft Office Suite tools.

Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines and project goals are met.

Travel to event locations up to twice a month to oversee setup and provide on-site assistance.

Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in administrative roles or similar positions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Familiarity with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram for business-related activities.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Willingness to travel locally up to twice a month.
