Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role involves handling various tax preparation tasks, including high-net-worth individual and partnership tax returns, while collaborating with a dedicated team. The position is based in the Needham area, with flexibility for remote work and occasional in-office collaboration.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review high-net-worth partnership and corporate tax returns with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.
Handle partnership tax returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Utilize tax software such as Gosystem RS or ProFx to streamline tax preparation processes.
Collaborate with the team to understand workflows and contribute to process improvements.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations to provide accurate guidance.
Assist in gathering and organizing necessary documentation for tax filings.
Ensure timely completion of all assigned tax preparation tasks within deadlines.
Provide support for tax-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies.
Participate in occasional in-office meetings to align on team objectives and procedures.
Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax preparation, including individual and partnership returns.
Proficiency in using tax software such as Gosystem RS and/or ProFx.
Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and clients.
Availability to work 30-40 hours per week during the contract period.
Capability to adapt to both remote and in-office work environments.
