The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Event Planner (Administrative Assistant 1) to plan, organize, and execute promotional events at Fine Wine & Good Spirits stores across the Commonwealth. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As an Event Planner, you will be responsible for all aspects of planning and organization for single and multi-day events both in Fine Wine & Good Spirit stores and remote locations to promote products throughout the Commonwealth. Specific events may include wine festivals, spirits festivals, educational seminars, restaurant/food demonstrations, wine/spirits pairings, food shows, store events and grand openings, winemaker, distiller, or celebrity bottle signings and demonstrations, as well as other high-visibility consumer events that support the PLCB's statewide brand presence. The Event Planner also manages and coordinates the in-store Consumer Tasting Program for the PLCB.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. Work hours may be negotiable.
Telework: This position is eligible for telework. You will have the opportunity to work from home part-time up to four days a week, with one day per week in the Northwest Office Building in Harrisburg. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Telework arrangements are subject to change. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
Travel: The duties of this position require a high volume of travel. You may be required to travel to multiple locations across the Commonwealth. Travel often occurs outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends. Travel expenses will be paid or reimbursed.
Salary:Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $45,907.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university or any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Other Requirements:

You must be able to perform essential job functions.
Legal Requirements:
You must pass a background investigation. An applicant with a felony conviction within the last ten years of their prospective date of employment is not permitted to work for the PLCB, per section 210(c) of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code. Other criminal convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
