Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead and oversee the technical aspects of manufacturing projects. This role requires expertise in aerospace manufacturing processes and the ability to manage and develop a team of engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong in engineering management, process validation, and product manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of manufacturing engineers, setting goals and conducting performance evaluations.

Act as the primary technical liaison for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and process validation.

Oversee and maintain BOMs, processes, and master routers for production hardware. Ensure manufacturability of parts and assemblies, provide technical support between manufacturing and customer engineering, and assist with new product introduction.

Manage project timelines, monitor progress, analyze variances, and implement cost reduction and process improvements.

Define tooling requirements, develop manufacturing processes, review production drawings, and deliver solutions to product, tooling, and process challenges.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering or another Engineering discipline.

Minimum of 7 years of engineering experience in an aerospace environment.

Minimum of 4 years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge of sheet metal, aerospace materials, processes, and industry standards.

Experience with continuous improvement, Six Sigma, or Green Belt training.

Ability to manage multiple customers and requests in a fast-paced environment.

Detail-oriented with strong project management skills.

Knowledge of aircraft ECS ducting and related processes.

Experience with Solid Works, NC programming, and AS400/MAPICs software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Master's degree in engineering or an MBA is a plus.

Familiarity with forming, machining, cleaning, welding, and heat treating materials such as Titanium, Inconel, and Aluminum.

Work Environment

This is an onsite position with a typical work schedule of Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, with flexible starting hours between 6 am and 8 am. The role involves overseeing 5 manufacturing engineers in the fabrication department and a total team of 15 engineers, including 3 in planning. This position offers opportunities for growth and involvement in both legacy and new projects, fostering a collaborative and dynamic work environment.

This is a Permanent position based out of Burbank, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $130000.00/yr.
