Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Job Description

Seeking a proactive and detail-oriented administrative assistant to support our dynamic construction project teams. This role is essential to maintaining smooth day-to-day operations and ensuring timely communication, documentation, and coordination across departments. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong sense of organization, professionalism, and initiative.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative support to project managers, engineers, and field staff.

Prepare and manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, and meeting minutes.

Coordinate schedules, meetings, and travel arrangements for team members.

Maintain filing systems and ensure document control compliance.

Assist with onboarding and orientation of new team members on-site.

Support procurement and invoice tracking processes.

Communicate with subcontractors, vendors, and clients as needed.

Help organize project events, safety meetings, and training sessions.

Ensure office supplies and equipment are stocked and functioning.

Essential Skills

3+ years of experience as an administrative assistant.

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

3+ years of administrative experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.

Familiarity with construction management software (e.g., Procore, CMiC, Bluebeam) is a plus.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Detroit, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
