We are seeking an accomplished and strategic-minded Director of Business Process Optimization and Project Execution to drive transformational change within our global Supply Chain organization. This critical leadership role will establish a robust framework for process standardization, governance, and digital integration across all business units. The Business Process Optimization & Project Execution Leader will be responsible for defining and executing a comprehensive strategy to elevate supply chain maturity, rationalize systems and documentation, and lead high-priority projects that enhance efficiency, compliance, and strategic agility in our complex organizational landscape. Our transformation journey includes our ability to Harmonize, Optimize and Digitize our Supply Chain Processes across Collins and in collaboration with RTX Corporate and Business Units.
What You Will Do:
Business Process Optimization
Process Architecture & Governance: Inventory and map existing process documents, and systems/tools.
Establish a clear business process hierarchy (targeting ~200 Level 3 processes) to form the foundation of a standardized business process hub/center.
Develop a roadmap of prioritization and drive execution leveraging the voice of the Collins stakeholders.
Maturity & Strategy Development: Define "CORE" key process maturity owners and set a comprehensive maturity strategy and execution plan for every process, including standardizing policies/procedures, work instructions, a single system of record, single KPI/data report structures, and training protocols.
Develop a Supply Chain CORE roadmap, drive implementation and execution and track progress.
Governance Model Optimization: Modify and integrate existing governance models (e.g., SCGC, SCTO councils) into a cohesive, combined governance structure to streamline decision-making across all Collins Supply Chain.
Documentation Rationalization: Lead initiatives to obsolete hundreds of legacy documents scattered across various Strategic Business Units (SBUs), ensuring a single source of truth for all supply chain operations. Simplify the organization for SC employees to access the critical documentation. Responsible to drive the Collins strategy for the Records Information Management (RIM) which is being deployed by RTX Corporate.
Training & Talent Development: Develop and implement a standard, role-based training plan for all supply chain resources.
Digital Transformation Strategy: Partner with Digital Technology (DT) teams to determine the strategy for Artificial Intelligence (AI) integration and the overall DT Enterprise Project Portfolio (EPP) plan for the supply chain function.
Project Execution & Strategic Initiatives Leadership
Lead and provide governance over a portfolio of high-impact supply chain projects. The Director will act as the primary execution lead for several key initiatives, including:
Systems & Tools Implementation:
Oversee the implementation of critical systems such as the Contingent Labor Request System (CLRS), Ariba CRE with Attribute Based Access Controls (ABAC), Transportation Management System (TMS) Phase 2, Docusign implementation, One Supplier Portal customization/ Business Network for Collins, Mismatch Tools, and the China Sourcing Directive (CSD) Ph4 Work Transfer initiatives.
Data & Compliance Projects: Drive automation workflows and process flows related to Tariff Tracking and Center establishment, Vendor Code De-duplication, Contracts Meta Database (CMDB) creation, and AI Customs Documentation Automation.
ERP & Digital Integration: Serve as the S4 Hana PST S2P SME lead, manage the SAP/Portal Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Handsfree P01 Implementation, and align the P01 Release Strategy.
Automation & Efficiency:
Support the implementation of twelve new automated projects in SC for 2026.
Work extensively with team peers in System and Tools and Data Analytics to drive excellence in the Enablement team.
Lead Hands Free implementation / RFQ Automation, EDI implementation in SC, expansion of Winshuttle Push/Pull to P01, and the development of a Single Data Visualization Hub (PowerBI/Tableau/Dossier).
Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years of experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Business Process Optimization, or Operations within the Aerospace & Defense industry.
5+ years of experience managing direct reports and leading large, complex, cross-functional project teams.
5+ years experience in process mapping, Six Sigma/Lean methodologies, continuous improvement, change management, and enterprise system process implementations (SAP S4 Hana, Ariba, TMS systems).A&D Experience:
Ability to communicate with all levels of organization
Qualifications We Prefer:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree or relevant professional certifications (PMP, CSCP, Black Belt) preferred.
Experience regarding customer focus, understanding of the regulatory environment and compliance requirements (e.g., ITAR, CSD), process standardization, change management, working across a matrixed enterprise, and unique challenges within Aerospace and Defense supply chain

The salary range for this role is 186,200 USD - 353,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
