DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will provide professional services for adults with mental and physical illnesses from all programs on our campus. You will assess and treat residents, develop treatment plans, and set goals. Your formal assessments will focus on functional mobility, ambulation, transfers, range of motion, pain, skin integrity, fall risk, balance, and wheelchair use. You will also address physical conditioning, gait training, transfers on indoor and outdoor surfaces, therapeutic exercise, modalities, manual therapy, positioning, and bracing. This role requires patient-centered treatment to develop an atmosphere of trust, hope, and dignity that is integrated with overall plans to address mental, physical health, and psychosocial needs. In addition, you will provide both individual and group therapy, as well as educate patients and providers involved in resident care.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Your schedule may change based on operational needs. Overtime and travel as needed Free parking Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. QUALIFICATIONS Special Requirements: You must be in possession of a license to practice physical therapy issued by the Pennsylvania State Board of Physical Therapy.

Other Requirements: PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination. This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
