GENERAL PURPOSE: Perform a variety of custodial and facilities maintenance services and coordinate with the maintenance team for the safety and cleanliness of the facility. Is detail oriented toward janitorial facility maintenance duties by providing excellent and responsive customer service.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

\u2022 Sweeps, mops, scrubs and vacuums floors in offices, break rooms, stair wells, and production walkways using hand utensils along with automated floor scrubbing equipment.

\u2022 Thoroughly cleans break rooms, rest rooms, eye wash stations, showers, and drinking fountains in offices and production areas. Replenishes necessary supplies such as toilet paper, paper towels, and soap.

\u2022 Cleans leaves, snow, and debris from sidewalks and roadways.

\u2022 Empties rubbish and recycling collection containers both internal and external.

\u2022 Performs minor and routine painting, light bulb changes, and other related maintenance.

\u2022 Notifies management concerning need for major repairs or upgrades to existing areas.

\u2022 Picks up and delivers supplies and company-related documents and products.

\u2022 Maintains adequate levels of facility and janitorial supplies through procurement process.

\u2022 Keeps work area, supplies, tools, and equipment orderly, clean and exercises care in their use.

\u2022 Safely uses common hand tools (screwdrivers, pliers, hammer, etc.) and some power tools.

\u2022 Maintains general good housekeeping practices.

\u2022 Conforms to all company policies and procedures, health, safety compliance and quality requirements.

\u2022 Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

\u2022 Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.).

\u2022 Must have 1 - 3 years of related experience and/or training.

\u2022 Must have the ability to read and write intermediate instructions, correspondence and memos.

\u2022 Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

\u2022 Must have intermediate mathematical skills.

\u2022 Must have good written and verbal communications skills.

\u2022 Must have knowledge of basic facility maintenance and janitorial techniques.

\u2022 Must have the ability to use hand tools and small machines.

\u2022 Must be able to operate powered industrial vehicles with appropriate training.

\u2022 Must be capable of maintaining good attendance.

\u2022 Must be able to work overtime, specifically on the weekends, as needed.

\u2022 Must be able to perform essential functions of job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
