We seek candidates for this position in sub-specialties such as central nervous system, genitourinary or gastrointestinal tumors or sarcomas. The academic physician will be expected to engage in active collaborative research and build clinical and/or translational research in the division and obtain/maintain independent extramural funding. This position is full or part time, 80%-100% This position requires work to be completed onsite, at a designated campus work location. This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial caregiver check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and every four years. Applicants for this position will be considered for the titles: Associate Professor (CHS) or Assistant Professor (CHS). The title is determined by the experience and qualifications of the finalist. Key Job Responsibilities: Provide inpatient and outpatient clinic attending services at UW Health locations in Madison and at additional sites in the region. Responsibilities will also include providing clinical teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows, as well as clinical research endeavors. Responsibilities of the Clinical Health Sciences (CHS) track candidate will include: 60-65% direct patient care at UW Health approved locations, including ambulatory, inpatient and consult service attending. 35-40% academic time for research activities and/or for educational and other scholarly activities, which includes pro-actively supporting efforts to improve diversity in clinical trial...
