JOB REQUIREMENTS: GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB The Production Supervisor is
responsible for helping to create a safe work environment through
maintaining the equipment and facilities. The Production Supervisor
focuses on streamlining processes and ensures standards are being met.
Assists the 1st Shift Production Supervisor overseeing and planning the
company\'s production operations. Ensures all manufacturing goes
smoothly and efficiently by monitoring how employees organize their
workflows. Ensure that machines are functional, and the production
facilities adhere to safety standards. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES The following statements reflect the general details
necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not

be required. Other duties may be assigned. Enforce safety and sanitation
regulations. Assist and act as a backup to the Material Handler and
Machine Operators. Establish a new hire training program and perform the
training from beginning to end of the established training time. Act as
the primary trainer for new hires and current employees. Assist in
coordinating the activities of employees engaged in the production or
processing of goods, such as inspectors, machine setters, or
fabricators. Serves as a line operator to fill vacancies. Monitor line
efficiency and quality checks in accordance with company standards.
Monitor line operations to ensure that operators are correctly entered
in the production job. Monitor GUI system and train when needed. Confer
with the 1st Shift Production Supervisors to coordinate operations and
activities within or between departments. Working with the 1st Shift
Production Supervisor assists with work schedules, assignments, and
production sequences to meet production goals. Maintain operations data,
such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare management
reports of production results. Assist in maintaining company standards,
budgets, production goals, and rates, based on company policies,
equipment and labor availability, and workloads. Confer with management
to resolve worker problems, complaints, or grievances. Set up and adjust
machines and equipment. Lead employees in accordance with company rules
and regulations Provide leadership and direction to production employees
by actively working with and effectively communicating to ensure quality
product. Maintain production requirements while minimizing scrap levels.
Working with the 1st Shift Production Manager initiates process
improvements through employee involvement and supports all plant
continuous improvement efforts as assigned. Ensure that all products are
manufactured in accordance with customer specifications and approved
processes. Support root cause analysis and proper resolution to
conflict. Lead by example with an emphasis on positive communication and
contributions. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Global Shop
Software Enforce safety and sanitation regulations. Keep records of
employees\' attendance and hours worked. Inspect materials, products, or
equipment to detect defects or malfunctions. Read and analyze charts,
work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to
determine production requirements and to evaluate current production
estimates and outputs. Plan and establish work schedules, assignments,
and production sequences to meet production goals. Confer with other
supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between
departments. Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and
company policies and procedures for workers. Observe work and monitor
gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure that operators conform to
production or processing standards. Direct and coordinate the activities
of employees engaged in the production or processing of goods, such as
inspectors, machine setters, or fabricators. Conduct employee training
in equipment operations or work and safety procedures, or assign
employee training to experienced workers. Evaluate employee performance.
Confer with management or subordinates to resolve worker problems,
complaints, or grievances. Determine standards, budgets, production
goals, and rates, based on company policies, equipment and labor
availability, and workloads. Calculate labor and equipment requirements
and production specifications, using standard formulas. Recommend or
implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production
methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency. Maintain
operations data, such as time, production, and cost records, and prepare
management reports of production results. Requisition materials,
supplies, equipment parts, or repair services. Set up and adjust
machines and equipment. Recommend or execute personnel actions, such as
hirings, evaluations, or promotions. Plan and develop new products and
production processes. ** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education
degree (GED) required. Associate degree in mechanical, electrical or
industrial maintenance preferred. Three years of related experience
and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver\'s license and clean
driving record. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple
instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple
correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one
and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of
the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract,
multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and
percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability
to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved
written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a
few concrete variables in standardized situations. PHYSICAL DEMANDS
