Legal Secretary | $25/hour (Based on Experience)

Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with 1 hour lunch

A Sioux City Law Firm is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Secretary to provide comprehensive administrative support to their legal team. In this role, you will be the backbone of their daily operations-handling document preparation, managing complex calendars, and serving as a professional point of contact for our clients. Ideally, this candidate will have previous legal experience working with workers comp, personal injury, or social security disability.

Responsibilities:

Document Management: Draft, format, and proofread legal documents including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and contracts. Ensure all filings meet specific court rules and formatting standards.

Case Coordination: Maintain and organize both electronic and physical case files. Manage document version control and ensure high-speed retrieval of critical information.

Calendaring & Scheduling: Manage attorney calendars, including tracking court deadlines, scheduling depositions, mediations, and client meetings.

Court Filings: Handle e-filing (e.g., PACER, CM/ECF) across local, state, and federal jurisdictions.

Communication: Serve as a liaison between attorneys, clients, and court personnel. Handle incoming calls and correspondence with the utmost discretion and professionalism.

Administrative Support: Assist with time entry, billing, and expense reports. Coordinate travel arrangements and trial logistics as needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience working in a law office.

Understanding of personal injury, workers comp, and disability insurance preferred.

Able to @type 45wpm or more

Knowledge with Microsoft Office & Customer Management Systems

Compensation & Benefits:

$25/hour (Based on Experience)

Paid every Friday
