The Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for the overall Niagara Falls Service Center (NFSC) maintenance of mechanical equipment and mechanical system, as well as fabrication of some commodities. . This is a challenging and rewarding job that requires sound technical abilities in , fabrication of manifolds and small equipment and systems, based upon welding and millwright skills with training provided in site-specific applications. The Industrial Maintenance Technician must demonstrate initiative in handling issues, be self-motivated and dependable. This individual works under site supervision and must demonstrate initiative and good communication skill to address challenges.

The Industrial Maintenance Technician support from NFSC facility all aspects of the Linde Acetylene and high-pressure plants, from corrective and preventive maintenance standpoint. This position will report to Engineering Project Manager and be based in Niagara Falls, NY.

Primary Responsibilities:

Maintain all Safety, Quality, and Compliance activities at each customer installation performing site inspections or site maintenances.

Coordinates and performs routine preventive and corrective maintenance and adjustments on a variety of fabrication equipment

Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs

Assists in the development and review of standard operating procedures

Utilizes hand and portable power tools and follows safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance

May provide advice to management regarding equipment life and usage and in researching new equipment purchases

Ensures operations technicians understand and follow safe working practices through all steps of equipment repair and maintenance

Support the movement of materials and equipment as required

Other duties as defined

Salary Range: $28.00 to $30.00 , depending on experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS

In addition to being able to sit, stand, climb, walk, read, talk, see and hear, to perform the essential functions of this job an individual must be able to do the following additional activities:

Perform office work requiring sitting at the computer and other administration duties.

Walking on flat or uneven surfaces and in areas of crushed stone on a daily basis.

Bending, stooping, and working from just above the ground to 6-foot elevation.

Use of stairs and ladders for elevated work.

Lifting 5 to 15 lbs. loads is performed daily.

Lifting 15 to 45 lbs. loads is done on an intermittent basis.

Lifting over 45 to 75 lbs. is done occasionally.

Upper body work activities, including using wrenches, hammers, and similar tools.

Use of power tools such as drills, jack harmer, etc.

Normal work week of 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, Monday thru Friday.

On-call for plant issues during off hours. Provided company cell phone, laptop, and service truck.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science or Associate Degree in a technical field preferred; High School diploma required.

Certificated on welding techniques required

Computer skills including Microsoft applications required

Clean driving record required in the last 2 years

2+ years' experience in operations environment preferred, specifically in the following areas;

Package gases or similar operation

General maintenance of industrial equipment

Industrial Mechanical

Military technical fields Machinist Mates, Gas Turbine Technicians, among others

Knowledgeable in OSHA Process Safety Management Program elements

Knowledge of high-pressure piping systems preferred
