North Central Behavioral Health Clinic, Open Arms- Minot, ND -Residential Direct Care Assoc - Adult Temp, PRN

No experience required, on-site training provided.

NCHSC Open Arms is seeking dedicatedDirect Care Associatesto join our team. We are hiring for temporary positions with various shifts available. Temporary positions are part-time, ongoing and on an as-needed basis.

Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health and Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.

As aResidential Direct Care Assoc - Adultworking with adults in a residential setting, you will provide positive mentoring and guidance to individuals impacted by behavioral health disorders. You will serve as a role model, exhibiting a positive and respectful approach in all interactions. You will teach daily living activities, including household tasks, hygiene task, effective communication, and socialization with the goal of helping those you serve increase their independence.

An important part of this position is assisting the individuals articulate their goals and what is important for them. You will teach self-advocacy and self-help strategies to assist them in reaching their goals.

You will thrive in this positionif you have a passion for teaching individuals life skills and how to overcome barriers that may be present in their lives.

To be considered for this position,applicants must have a high school diploma or GED.

This position requires a valid drivers license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
