Job Summary and Qualifications
The Portfolio Manager is responsible for maintaining knowledge of the Pharmacy Non-Acute contract portfolio and communicating the benefits and value of that portfolio to both internal and external audiences. This position supports and bridges the AdvantageTrust and pharmacy teams as it pertains to physician class of trade pricing and catalog
The contract portfolio managed tends to include:
Ambulatory Class of Trade contract items
Pricing load and demand planning with non-acute distributors
mostly categories less than $25m in spend, or
mostly categories that are less sensitive to members (e.g. commodities).
The Portfolio Manager must have a mid-to-high level knowledge of the contracts, suppliers and products in their portfolio.
What you will do in this role includes:
Communicate contract portfolio benefits and value with both internal and external audiences
Evaluate vendor price files by analyzing, researching and correcting the product information to insure that all fields are properly completed for accurate loading of pricing. Information verified in the vendor price file for data integrity includes NDC, product description, UOM and package size
Assist with evaluating pharmacy / med surg cross over categories for synergies and conflicts during category expansions and new product adds.
Evaluate non- acute catalog accuracy and process catalog corrections through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Navigate and correct contract disparities between HPG, AdvantageTrust member as well as influence and support Internal Audit in these areas.
Be the liaison between sourcing, account management, and customer service as it relates to pricing and eligibility.
Oversee contract implementation with supplier and navigate and pricing concerns
Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers. Including but not limited to: resolving customer issues (pricing, LOCS, product complaints, etc.)
Assist account management with member needs related to portfolio (materials management and end-user level)
Develop strategies and tactics to promote contract portfolio.
Basic understanding of sourcing process
What qualifications you will need:
Accredited College Bachelor's Degree or comparable related work experience. - Required
1-3 years experience with contract / portfolio management OR - Preferred
Account management of a client where duties include implementation or support related to a contract portfolio - Preferred
Experience with pharmacy and our physician clinics - Preferred
