As a Security Officer - Industrial Gatehouse in Peru, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location. You will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while remaining visible throughout your assigned area. By providing exceptional customer service and clear communication, you contribute to a secure environment. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.

Observe and report any irregularities, such as property damage, unusual occurrences, or unauthorized persons on the premises.

Communicate with management, visitors, and employees to relay information regarding security-related matters.

Document all activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal standards and client requirements.

Support emergency preparedness and/or evacuation procedures as directed by site management.

Minimum Requirements:

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
