Description

We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our client's team on a contract basis in Dayton, Ohio. This position involves handling key accounting responsibilities, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and contributing to the smooth execution of year-end close. Responsibilities:

Manage and execute year-end close activities, ensuring all financial data is accurate and properly reconciled.

Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise to maintain and update financial records efficiently.

Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and related documents for internal and external use.

Reconcile accounts to ensure accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.

Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and supporting information.

Collaborate with team members to implement best practices in accounting procedures.

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards in all accounting activities.

Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.

Support budgeting and forecasting processes by providing accurate data.

Contribute to general ledger maintenance and other accounting tasks as required.

Requirements - Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail.

Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise software.

Strong knowledge of year-end close processes and financial reporting.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.

Ability to effectively reconcile accounts and address discrepancies.

Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements.

Strong communication skills for collaboration and reporting.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred.
