Come join our team where you can expand your career potential, benefit from our robust development opportunities, and enjoy meaningful work!Job Summary:Responsible for the credit analysis and underwriting of new Business Credit Center loans including C&I loan requests up to $7.5 million and Investment Real Estate requests up to $10 million. Scope includes ensuring the accuracy of credit data in loan onboarding systems, establishing proper risk ratings, compliance with credit and other bank policies, and training new staff members. The execution of job responsibilities requires collaboration with other Bank functions including other Business Credit Center teams as well as Legal, Compliance, and Loan Operations.Responsibilities:Prepare high quality, detailed credit approval documents that contain an in-depth analysis, an understanding and identification of credit issues/risks as well as an accurate risk rating assignment.Demonstrated ability to structure complex financial transactions in Commercial Industrial and Real Estate markets.Decision loan requests in accordance with the bank's loan policies and procedures including formal and informal risk appetite statements.Spread and provide analysis of financial statements, tax returns, and projections, as well as a review of supporting materials including leases and rent rolls.Collaborate with Relationship Managers to ensure an understanding of customer financing needs and to request additional information as necessary to support a credit decision. Engage with customers and Relationship Managers to discuss credit inquiries and gain additional insight into the client's business operations.Conducting appropriate credit analysis with a sense of urgency and within target timeframes.Prepare/review commitment letters upon approval of loans with updates as required to ensure final terms are properly documented. Participate in or lead projects that help improve the credit delivery process.Skills/ExperienceBachelor's Degree required - Business, Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred5-8 years of experience in commercial loan underwritingStrong credit skills required with the ability to quickly identify key risks, develop and document mitigating support, and making credit recommendations.Familiarity with commercial & industrial as well as investment real estate markets and transaction structures. Ability to quickly identify key underwriting considerations, and succinctly articulate credit decision rationale to Relationship Managers and approving credit authoritiesKnowledge of SBA financing programsAbility to independently prioritize workload and execute problem resolution strategies with minimal management support. Ability to multi-task, prioritize work to meet deadlines and work both independently and within a team structure.Strong organizational, communication, time management and collaboration skillsThe estimated base salary range for this position is $125,000 USD to $135,000 USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
