Junior Analyst ? Job Description Summary:

D&G Support Services is seeking a highly motivated Junior Analyst to provide full-time, on-site analytical, research, and coordination support to DLA Distribution Headquarters. The Junior Analyst will support delivering strategic operations, data-driven analysis, policy support, and program execution assistance across key distribution initiatives.

The Junior Analyst will work closely with senior analysts, government stakeholders, and contractor leadership to support modernization efforts, strategic planning, operational assessments, and documentation development. This is an ideal role for a recent graduate with strong research, writing, and coordination skills who is looking to establish a career in defense logistics, national security, or federal consulting.

? Roles & Responsibilities:??

Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to support distribution wide operational initiatives, policy development, and modernization efforts.

Compile analyze and summarize data from logistics systems workload reports policy documents and stakeholder inputs to support senior analysis and decision making.

Prepare briefing materials analytical summaries dashboards white papers and background documentation for senior government leadership.

Perform data validation trend analysis and structured problem solving to support client recommendations and operational improvements.

Coordinate meetings workshops and stakeholder engagements across DLA Distribution headquarters and subordinate activities.

Track action items due outs and project milestones while maintaining organized project documentation and SharePoint repositories.

Develop draft project plans timelines and visual summaries aligned to client priorities modernization goals and strategic roadmaps.

Draft edit and refine reports memos SOPs and policy aligned documentation for government review and approval.

Support executive level communication by preparing agendas read ahead materials meeting notes talking points and follow up communications.

Develop working knowledge of DLA Distribution operations supply chain principles audit requirements and DoD policy to support mission alignment and risk identification.

Requirements:??

Bachelor's degree in International Studies, Political Science, Security Studies, Public Policy, Business, or related field.

0-2 years of relevant professional experience in research, analysis, operations support, or related fields. Relevant internships or academic project experience may be considered.

Strong writing skills, including the ability to draft polished technical, analytical, and policy-oriented documents.

Demonstrated research experience (academic or professional), including synthesizing findings and presenting clear conclusions.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and ability to work in a client-facing environment.
