Summary: Scotty's Contracting and Stone is seeking a highly experienced CDL Driver / Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Heavy Civil Division. The position also involves operating commercial vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites. Additionally, the candidate will perform various labor tasks as needed to support job site operations. This role requires knowledge of and the ability to operate various large construction equipment when necessary, including but not limited to Loaders, Backhoes, Track Hoes, Haul Trucks, and Water Trucks.Key Responsibilities:- Operate equipment safely and efficiently.- Adhere to all company, local, and federal safety regulations and protocols to minimize risk to workers, drivers, and pedestrians.- Take direction from the crew leader for assignments and job duties.- Perform minor servicing maintenance or refer major problems to Foreman and Shop Manager.- Remain aware of site conditions and report any hazards or issues to the lead or foreman promptly.- Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers by showing respect, fostering teamwork, and supporting a collaborative and professional work environment.- Complete any required documentation, such as incident reports or site logs, in accordance with company standards.- Be prepared to work outdoors in various weather conditions.- Perform other physical tasks required to maintain the jobsite.Qualifications:- MUST HAVE CDL- Three years of experience performing similar key responsibilities.- Must possess a valid driver's license with a motor vehicle report that is in good standing.- Strong attention to safety and adherence to protocols.- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.Physical Requirements:- Climbing: Must have the physical capability to safely climb into and out of equipment that is greater than 10 feet off the ground on uneven terrain multiple times daily.- Heights: Ability to climb and work safely at heights exceeding 10 feet.- Balance: Including standing and walking on extremely slick and uneven surfaces while carrying.- Vision: 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions.- Hearing: Corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions.- Awkward positions: Getting to and from both sitting and kneeling on the ground.- Heavy lifting: Awkward parts and equipment up to 50 lbs. from floor to shoulders,
