Job Title: Assembler Job Description

We're looking for a dynamic individual who excels at following processes, maintaining quality, and working with a team to drive our production success.

Responsibilities

Perform routine assembly operations of a repetitive nature on mechanical and/or electronic components and sub-assemblies in the product line.

Work from samples, bills of material, prints, and work instructions, as well as verbal instructions.

Use various hand and power tools to perform the work.

Assemble devices (mechanical and/or electronic) to form complete units or subassemblies, including programming transmitters and using lasers.

Build sub-components as needed using various tools and machines.

Perform visual inspection and functional testing during assembly operations.

Conduct calibration for devices as needed.

Maintain accurate inventory and notify team lead of adjustments or scrap.

Essential Skills

Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

Ability to stand for the entirety of the shift.

High attention to detail with a focus on quality and producing quality parts.

Steel-toed or composite shoes required (boots provided).

Assembly experience preferred.

Experience using hand and power tools.

Ability to read, write, and understand English.

Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, units of measurement).

Basic CPU skills including Microsoft suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Assembly experience.

Experience in manufacturing preferred.

Experience using torque equipment.

Work Environment

Work in a quality-over-quantity environment that prioritizes safety and collaboration. The facility is temperature controlled and requires steel toes, safety glasses, and gloves. Shifts include 1st Shift (6:45 AM - 3:30 PM) and 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 1:30 AM), with the possibility of overtime announced in advance. The culture is diverse and laid-back, focusing on process improvement and communication, with every employee encouraged to submit improvement process recommendations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenwood, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.25 - $19.25/hr.
