Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Northwest, Indiana. In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting various accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes, along with excellent organizational and analytical skills.

Responsibilities:

Process and manage accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Handle accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.

Enter financial data into accounting systems with precision and attention to detail.

Reconcile accounts to ensure all records are accurate and up to date.

Generate and analyze financial reports to support decision-making.

Assist with invoice processing and verify proper documentation.

Perform routine checks to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records.

Provide general accounting support to the team as needed.

Utilize Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks.

Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and workflows.

This position will offer a pay range between $23/hour and $25/hour. This is a 40-hour/week role with flexible work hours available. Benefits include medical, dental, vision and life insurance and paid time-off.

Requirements - Proven experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Proficiency in data entry and maintaining accurate financial records.

Familiarity with invoice processing and reconciliation procedures.

Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, including formulas and data analysis.

Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data.

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members.
