Use hand tools such as shovels, scoops, brooms, for sweeping, cleaning, crops; Repair and clean farm buildings, fences, and other structures as well as farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment including but not limited to tractors, conveyors, forklifts; Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, and post-harvest treatment of crops; Turning levers and knobs to dry grain, sweep bins with hand broom after grain is augured; Load agricultural products into trucks without over or under filling bed or trailer and drive to market or storage facilities; Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help; Must be able to work in dusty conditions and be willing to work inside grain bins; Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate employer provided safety equipment; Speak and understand English.
One (1) month of recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate drivers license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker. Testing positive or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment.
Referrals are accepted through the local Job Service office, by word of mouth, and/or gate hires etc., during regular business hours Monday-Friday.
