As a Security Officer - Retail Access Point in East Granby, CT , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Sat03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.

Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or exit within the retail location.

Verify credentials and control the flow of individuals entering or leaving the premises.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.

Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.

Maintain detailed and accurate records of activities, incidents, and/or any unusual occurrences.

Communicate clearly with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.

Follow all site-specific instructions and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and client leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Access control or badge experience is preferred.

A guard card or license is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
