SALARY & FLSA: $23.00 -$ 25.13 per hour; FLSA non-exempt

$23.00 - $25.13 per hour is the pay range for this job classification. The starting rate for this role is $23.00 per hour. Every employee under the Teamsters Admissions Wage Table, on first appointment, will receive the first step of the salary range for the position. Employees will advance to the second step at the start of the pay period after their one-year anniversary in the job classification and each milestone thereafter (2 years and 5 plus years of service) with Step 4 being the maximum pay rate.

DEPARTMENT: Admissions & Guest Services

This position is anticipated to focus primarily on Guest Services. It will mainly work to support day-to-day operations of on-grounds paid experience locations such as greeting and directing visitors, assisting guests with questions or complaints, promoting and selling zoo products and experiences, such as the carousel, public animal encounters, travelling exhibits, and other locations. This opening is anticipated to work of 10-29 hours per week. It has two regular days off, Monday & Tuesday. It may also have additional days off depending on operational need.

SUMMARY

This position promotes and fulfills the zoo's mission by performing the functions of daily operations for on grounds paid experiences such as the carousel, public animal encounters, and travelling exhibits.
