Work involves managing and overseeing Human Resources and provides strategic leadership, planning, and development of the agencyand#8217;s HR services, including staffing, classification, employee relations, performance management, benefits, state and federal employment laws, and workersand#8217; compensation. Provides sound and competent technical human resources management consulting advice and expertise to agency staff at all levels. Works collaboratively with legal counsel, Executive, and senior leadership to ensure HR policies and procedures are in-line with the agencyand#8217;s overall strategic direction. Represents the Texas Comptroller and the agency in a professional manner by working and communicating knowledgably with various external organizations, individuals, and/or the general public. Plans, oversees, directs, and assigns the work of staff that provides support to the functional areas of the agency.Monday through Friday, 40 hours a week with occasional evening, weekend hours and holidays.
