Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Windsor, Connecticut. This contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations and ensure the accuracy of invoice processing and payment procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

Process invoices efficiently while ensuring accurate coding and adherence to company policies.

Manage check runs, including preparation, verification, and distribution.

Review and code invoices correctly to maintain compliance and accuracy.

Ensure timely and accurate payment processing to vendors and suppliers.

Maintain organized records of financial transactions for auditing purposes.

Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies in invoices or payments.

Support the accounts payable team with daily operations and reporting requirements.

Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency.

Provide assistance during audits by preparing necessary documentation. Requirements - Proven experience working in accounts payable or a similar role.

Strong knowledge of invoice processing and coding procedures.

Familiarity with managing check runs and payment systems.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.

Proficiency in using accounting software and tools.

Ability to work collaboratively with team members and other departments.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards.
