Description We are looking for a dedicated Paralegal to join our team in Houston, Texas. This long-term contract role involves providing critical support to attorneys in a commercial litigation and personal injury defense firm. The position is entirely office-based, offering an excellent opportunity to work on diverse legal cases and contribute to a high-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

Manage and organize legal calendars, ensuring deadlines and important dates are accurately tracked.

Assist attorneys in preparing for trials by gathering and reviewing necessary documents and evidence.

Handle e-filing tasks for both state and federal cases, ensuring compliance with filing procedures.

Conduct thorough discovery and document review using specialized discovery platforms.

Maintain and manage case files using NetDocuments or similar case management software.

Provide support to multiple attorneys on a variety of legal cases, ensuring seamless workflow and communication.

Monitor and manage a docket with approximately 40 active cases.

Collaborate with attorneys to draft and prepare legal documents for ongoing cases.

Ensure smooth document management processes while adhering to legal standards. Requirements - Proven experience in civil litigation and trial preparation.

Strong knowledge of e-filing procedures for state and federal courts.

Proficiency in discovery tools and platforms.

Familiarity with case management software, such as NetDocuments.

Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail.

Exceptional organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, office-based environment.

Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with attorneys and other legal professionals.
