EMC - Eden Medical Center

Position Overview:

Ensure patient menu and foods selected and served comply with physicians orders. Prepares dietary information for use by kitchen personnel in preparation of foods for hospital patients by performing the following duties.

EDUCATION

Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.

Associate's: Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school with emphasis in foods and nutrition; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or Diet Tech certificate. or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

DTR-Registered Dietetic Technician preferred

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN:

6 mos-2 years Requires basic experience as typically acquired in a similar environment.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Pay Range is $31.45 to $35.20 / hour

The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs. Base pay is only one component of Sutter Health's comprehensive total rewards program. Eligible positions also include a comprehensive benefits package.
