The Department of Revenue is actively seeking an engaging and results-driven Systems Change Communications Manager to join our innovative Office of Communications. We are looking for a dedicated professional to champion the people side of change across the organization. This critical role focuse s on guiding employees through transitions involving new business processes, systems, and technology. You will be the force that drives adoption and ensures proficiency among our employees for all major organizational updates.
Key Responsibilities - Use Your Skills to Transform the Department of Revenue
Partner with the Executive Director's Office, Communications team, and Human Resources to provide essential change management support
Develop anddeploy comprehensive change management strategies and communications plans for updates to our systems and processes
Collaborate regularly with Communications, HR, and diverse teams to introduce and educate staff on effective Change Management strategies and best practices
Create andimplement robust plans designed to drive adoption and proficiency with changes that impact DOR employees
Focus on the human element of change, addressing impacts related to new business processes, technology, and systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only: Seven (7) years of relevant experience in organizational change management, public relations, corporate/professional communications roles, public affairs, and/or government relations;
or
Education and Experience: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in organizational change management, public relations, corporate/professional communications roles, public affairs, and/or government relations equal to seven (7) years

Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
Excellent communication skills; able to communicate effectively and articulately in writing and orally. Experience in developing and implementing outreach strategies.
Fluency in Gmail and Google Applications, and the ability to quickly learn other software systems.
Demonstrated success partnering with public and private organizations, special interest groups, elected and appointed officials, in situations that may be politically sensitive.
Excellent reasoning, investigative, analytical, and problem-solving ability.
Effective communication style and interpersonal skills that incorporate consensus building and participative decision making.
Experience in dashboarding
Experience in stakeholder management
Corporate Communications, Public Affairs, Government Relations
Experience with the media or journalism
Certified in Prosci
Conditions of Employment with the CDOR :
Employees are in a position of public trust in the performance of their job duties and must operate in a manner that maintains the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and public confidence.
As a condition of employment with the CDOR, all personnel must file all necessary Colorado Individual Income Tax (CIIT) returns and pay tax obligations, therefore all employees must undergo a pre-employment evaluation of their tax records/accounts to ensure compliance with this policy. Final candidates must also complete a successful background investigation and reference check prior to appointment. Certain positions based on duties may require scheduled background investigations .

Have an assigned State fleet vehicle
Are required to operate a vehicle as part of the position
Utilize a State fleet vehicle as a pool vehicle
