Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Tax Accountant to join our team in Stamford, Connecticut. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing individual tax returns and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who excel at handling complex tax matters and delivering accurate results.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and review individual tax returns with precision and attention to detail.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.

Analyze financial information to determine tax liabilities and deductions.

Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation for tax filings.

Stay updated on changes in tax laws and apply them effectively to client cases.

Resolve tax-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.

Provide expert advice and guidance on tax planning strategies.

Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing purposes.

Assist in the preparation of reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Work closely with team members to improve processes and enhance efficiency. Requirements - Proven experience in preparing and reviewing individual tax returns.

Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Proficiency in analyzing financial data and identifying tax implications.

Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Effective communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.

Up-to-date knowledge of current tax laws and policies.

High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
