Overview

The Chaplain provides spiritual care to patients, families and staff according to ethical standards of practice for chaplains and counselors. Participates in on-call rotation with other chaplains. Offers educational seminars when requested. Works collaboratively and as a liaison between spiritual care department and assigned units, committees, and other Carle and non-Carle businesses, organizations, and personnel.

Responsibilities

Provide direct spiritual care to patients, staff and families. Clarifies value issues with patients, families and staff to support ethical practices/decisions. Assist in coordination of spiritual care for assigned clinical units. Provide in-service presentations and educational seminars on spirituality. Provide community presentations on spiritual care and spirituality. May occasionally oversee/mentor spiritual care students or volunteers.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $23.97per hour - $40.03per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
