We are currently hiring for an Accounts Payable Specialist!

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will efficiently manage and process all accounts payable transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. This role involves liaising with vendors, coordinating with various departments, and maintaining thorough records of all transactions.

Responsibilities

Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.

Prepare checks and obtain necessary signatures on all accounts payable checks.

Distribute and mail checks as required.

Communicate directly with vendors regarding accounts payable inquiries or issues.

Coordinate activities between Procurement and Project Management departments to ensure payments adhere to contractual and purchase order terms.

Apply all credit card activity to the proper account and maintain a log of all credit card payments.

Maintain all accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and corporate accounts payable files.

Assist corporate personnel as necessary.

Assist in monthly closings.

Perform filing and copying tasks.

Essential Skills

Experience in accounts payable.

Proficiency in three-way matching and invoice processing.

Familiarity with purchase orders and payable processes.

Experience with JD Edwards or Oracle software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Strong organizational skills.

Excellent communication skills for vendor interactions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jacksonville, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.

Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
