Accountant - Entry Level

Description

We are looking for an entry-level accountant to join our manufacturing team in Vernon, California. In this role, you will handle essential financial tasks, including managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices, reconciling transactions, and supporting month-end closing activities. This is a contract position with the potential for long-term employment, offering an opportunity to grow your career in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments, maintaining accurate records.

Manage accounts receivable tasks, including reconciling customer payments and addressing discrepancies.

Assist with month-end financial reporting and closing procedures.

Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accurate financial data.

Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to resolve payment and invoicing issues.

Utilize accounting software and Excel to prepare and analyze financial data.

Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Identify and address inconsistencies in financial records promptly.

Contribute to the overall efficiency of accounting operations through effective organization and problem-solving.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of accounting principles, including familiarity with AP and AR functions.

Minimum of one year of experience in an accounting role; three years preferred.

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is advantageous.
