Radiologist Consultant (Image QA & Workflow)

Holobeam Technologies is seeking an experienced radiologist to help elevate the ease of use, improved diagnostic capability, clinical realism, accuracy, and safety of an advanced medical imaging system proto@type. This is a research-only engagement it does not involve patient care or diagnostic use. Youll play a key role in refining image quality benchmarks, validation workflows, and usability expectations that align with how radiologists interact with imaging tools in practice.

Engagement Details: Type: Independent contractor Schedule: Flexible, short focused sessions Confidentiality: Strict NDA required All images are de-identified and provided with test protocols.

Responsibilities: Review anonymized radiographs in structured sessions. Mark key anatomic structures (simple regions or bounding boxes) and confirm label accuracy. Assess algorithm output for plausibility; document edge cases and failure modes. Define acceptance thresholds that reflect what a practicing radiologist would consider clinically acceptable. Recommend interface improvements naming, parameters, and steps that reflect real-world reading workflows. Produce short, reproducible feedback summaries for each test set (what worked, what didnt, and why). Assist in small validation studies, such as inter- and intra-reader comparisons or simplified scoring protocols. Advise on safe-use wording, disclaimers, and basic risk controls consistent with FDA expectations for research software (no clinical claims). Collaborate with our engineering and product teams, advising on features that radiologists would find most useful for daily practice. Evaluate diagnostic image quality of produced output across multiple pathologies (e.g., lung nodules, coronary calcifications, pneumonia).

Skills and Qualifications: Doctoral Degree and 5 years experience. Board-certified or board-eligible radiologist (any subspecialty). Competency in reading X-Ray, CT, and MRI scans. 3+ years of post-training experience interpreting radiographs. Proficient with digital imaging tools and comfortable performing light annotations. Detail-oriented communicator who writes clear, structured feedback and follows test protocols carefully. Bonus: exposure to software validation, QA, or regulatory review processes (e.g., 21 CFR 820, IEC 62304).
