Mead & Hunt is currently looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Transportation team as a Construction Engineer in the Southeast region of Ohio. Responsibilities include: Working with county and/or municipal governments and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) Keeping up-to-date with relevant technical and management issues related to construction inspection Developing business opportunities Managing/mentoring staff Verifying quality and completeness of work Providing workload projections and resources to project managers, department managers or business until leaders Monitoring staff in project management services...data collection, quantity calculations, and inspections/testing related to soil density, concrete, asphalt, and earthwork Serving as an on-site project representative Verifying conformance with contract documents, QA/QC, and applicable standards Resolving and responding to field issues Other duties as assigned Some travel and a valid driver's license will be required. The successful candidate must have a bachelor's degree or higher in civil engineering from an accredited college or university.
