Summary This position is located at the South Florida National Cemetery in Lake Worth, Florida. Responsibilities The incumbent performs a wide range of budgetary program oversight functions and procurement and personnel management functions in administering the facilities operational programs. An objective of the position is to assess the productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of the program operations at this site and to recommend resolution of problems in a full range of administrative activities. Incumbent's primary duty at this site is to support management in meeting the goals and objectives of the National Cemetery Administration and the Southeast District Office. The primary qualification requirements are analytical ability, substantive knowledge of programs as they effect the operation of a large cemetery and knowledge of pertinent statistical, accounting, budget and economic principles and techniques. Incumbent also performs administrative work concerned with establishing and maintaining employer-employee relationships that contribute to satisfactory productivity, motivation, morale, and discipline. The incumbent is the principal staff assistant and advisor to the Cemetery Director in accomplishing a variety of administrative functions. Performs public outreach as needed. Work schedule: Required to work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. May include occasional weekends. Due to the mission of the National Cemetery, the cemetery cannot be closed for more than 2 consecutive days at any given time. Additionally, when a Federal holiday falls on a Monday or Friday, staff may be required to work on that holiday or a Saturday. All staff is required to work Memorial Day and Veteran's Day each year. Staff will be required to work overtime, weekends and holidays when necessary to meet the needs of the cemetery.
