Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail and expertise in managing high-volume accounts payable operations and full-cycle accounting processes. The position requires strong leadership skills and proficiency in financial systems to ensure seamless operations.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage high-volume accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Handle 1099 reporting and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Manage travel and expense (T& E) processes, maintaining effective controls and documentation.

Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records.

Prepare and review financial statements, supporting audits and ensuring compliance.

Conduct account reconciliations to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

Collaborate with team members to streamline workflows and improve accounting operations.

Utilize Workday and other financial systems effectively to support accounting activities.

Provide leadership and guidance to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative environment.

Requirements - Proven experience in accounts payable management and full-cycle accounting.

Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.

Familiarity with 1099 reporting and compliance requirements.

Expertise in preparing financial statements and supporting audits.

Proficiency in account reconciliation and resolving discrepancies.

Skilled in journal entries and maintaining accurate financial records.

Experience with financial systems, particularly Workday, is highly preferred.

Excellent organizational and leadership abilities to manage teams and processes effectively.
